Upcoming macOS Upgrade Is Packed With New Features

Throughout this week’s WWDC 21 event, Apple unveiled some of the new features that the upcoming macOS 12 Monterey update will have. This macOS Monterey update, named after the city of Monterey in California, will be the 18th major release of Apple’s desktop operating system. The previous major release was the macOS Big Sur, which was released back in November of last year. We’ll go over what this update will have to offer, certain devices that will be left out of it, and the timeframe of the release.

Honda Insight vs Toyota Prius: The Fuel Efficiency Leaders

Leading the car industry in fuel economy, the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius models has some of the best fuel-efficiency you can find in a hybrid automobile. The first Insight dates back to 1999, while the first Prius launched in 1997. Both of these Japanese companies have made some of the most reliable and affordable cars in the industry, and have dominated since their early beginnings. For the year of 2020, Toyota was second in the US in total vehicle sales with 1,837,989 (Ford in first with 1,929,195), while Honda was fourth with 1,199,805, both companies ranking fairly high.

World’s Largest Meat Supplier Hit By Cyber Attack

Brazilian company JBS SA were targets for a large cyber attack this past weekend, the company announced Monday. In a statement by the company, they determined on Sunday that they were “the target of an organized cybersecurity attack, affecting some of the servers supporting its North American and Australian IT systems.”

Gold Has Another Strong Month

With the month of May coming to an end, Gold has gone up for the second consecutive month, reaching 1900 for the first time since January 8th. Gold closed at 1902.6 today, and has pretty much consolidated around the 1900 price level since Tuesday. There was about a 1.15% increase in price for this week.

Investing App Acorns Reaches $2.2B SPAC Deal To Go Public

Acorns Grow Inc., the company behind the Acorns app, announced Thursday morning that it has agreed to go public by merging with special-purpose acquisition company Pioneer Merger Corp (PACX) on a $2.2 billion deal. A special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC), also known as a blank check company, is a publicly traded company with the sole purpose of acquiring or merging with private companies, thus making them public.

PayPal Exploring Crypto Transfer Options

PayPal could be finally allowing its crypto holders to withdraw their assets and send them to third-party wallets. Earlier today at CoinDesk’s Consensus 2021 virtual conference, Jose Fernandez da Ponte, PayPal’s general manager for blockchain, announced that he wants their consumers to have the opportunity to transfer cryptos from PayPal. Since introducing crypto to their platform in October 2020, PayPal users have been only able to buy, sell, and hold crypto.
