US Ban Creates New Opportunities For Huawei

While United States President Donald Trump has banned Huawei devices in the US and from them using American services such as Google for quite some time now, Huawei has had to get creative. Huawei can’t use Google’s Android operating system, as well as the Google Play Store, so they’ve created their own OS, Harmony OS, and their own play store, Huawei AppGallery. The Chinese tech company is #2 in the world in mobile phone sales behind Samsung, but that could go down soon if Huawei doesn’t make the necessary improvements on Harmony OS, AppGallery, and other types of software.

Google No Longer Making Flagship Phones?

Multiple leaks and other sources seem to confirm that the Google Pixel 5 coming out this fall won’t have as good specs as other phones. The Pixel 5 is expected to run on a Snapdragon 765G processor, a step down from the Pixel 4’s Snapdragon 855 processor and the 865 processor that’s already in phones like the Samsung Galaxy S20. This means that compared to other phones, the performance on the Pixel 5 won’t be as good as phones with better processors.
